what does a pap smear test for? and what does a gyno check when ur getting ur yearly exam??? also i been having this pain on my right side of my lower stomach went to a gyno and he put his finger inside me and said he doenst feel nothing...anything else he could of had done? Pap smears check for abnormalities like abcess or spots that may need to be removed to be tested for cancerous cells. It checks for yeast infections, bladder infections, pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases. They also do a breast exam and check for lumps. You should maybe see your regular Dr. about the pains for some tests if your gyno isn't taking you seriously. A pap smear is a test that basically checks your cervix and any other infections that could be going on in your female region. The pain on your right side could really be lots of things. If it still persists, pursue it. Continue with your pap smears, they are extremely important! if you have pain the only way for the physician to rule out anything like cysts or fibroids is to order an ultrasound. |
