Pap Smear and Pelvis Exam confusion.? |
I'm new at all the whole OBGYN business and I thought I understood but now I find myself confused again. My pelvic exam was fine and the doc said that the physical part of my pap smear was fine. I'm a bit nervous about getting the results back for my pap smear. The past few days my lower back/abdomin have been hurting. I told the doc but they couldn't find anything wrong. Anyone had anything similar like this before? Pap tests check for abnormal cells on the cervix that might be precancerous. The cause of your lower back/abdominal pain would not show up on a pap test. check web md for your symptoms, maybe nothing more than a backache, but consult with your doctor. |
