THIS IS MY 3RD PAP SMEAR MY FIRST TWO WERE POSITIVE THEN THIS ONE TURNED OUT NEGATIVE.....THE DOCTOR SAID AT BEFORE THIS THAT EVERYTHING WAS GOOD....I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW IT CAN BE ABNORMAL THIS TIME
I WAS NEGAITIVE FOR dysplasia

You can test positive for the virus that causes dysplasia without actually HAVING dysplasia. Most (better than 80%) of all people have some form of HPV, only a few strains of which (4 out of about 200) cause cervical anomalies. So you can go for ages and ages (possibly your entire life) with negative paps and STILL test positive for the virus.

Now, knowing that you DO have the virus, you need to always make sure you're absolutely faithful about getting paps. The earlier an anomaly is caught, the easier it is to treat. Be proactive about your personal well-being.
