Pap smear okay, maybe pregnant? |
Husband and I are 22. TTC 6mo, ovulated 16th, may be pregy. Pap smear by health nurse on 29th just to make sure all is healthy inbetween finding a doctor out of town. Is it safe to get a pap even though I might be pregnant? Yes, it is perfectly safe. In fact, if you are pregnant, you will have 2 paps during your pregnancy, the initial on your first visit and one around 34 wks or when you are swabbed for Group B strep. But, a nurse practitioner cannot tell if you are pregnant by a pap. No way possible, no matter what anyone else says.
