Abnormal pap smear results?!? |
Im 18 and had abnormal pap smear results and they have to like take tissue out from there and look at it more. Is this going to hurt? Im so scared. I did have a yeast infection for like a year before i went to the gyno and then they did the pap smear can it just be that.. Or what else? can Std's show up on there. Becuase all my mom is telling me is taht im gunna have cancer and i have std's.. help. wait wait wait 1st of all any little thing such as an infection can trigger typical a cells so relax and 2ond of all they are screening them more closer then ever so 10 times more women r having to return for a double check relax try not to panic hunny ~~~they will take a little piece of the skin its not that bad and send it away to be tested relax again i know of SO MANY THAT HAVE FELT LIKE U DO NOW AND IT WAS NOTHINGGGGGGGGGGGso friend chill and rest well this eve and geeeeeeesh your mom is no darn help!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I was 16-17 my paps kept coming back abnormal so they did a colposcopy (sp?) where they take a sample of your cervix...YES it does hurt, it kills actually. You get really bad cramping after and this funky pepper like discharge...gross I know. It turned out normal and they just said that they probably came back abnormal from having sex. Stds usually show up in the pap but sometimes if you have HPV it will show up on the biopsy. Its probably nothing cause you are young, but its something you have to get checked. Good luck, take the day off when you have it done. i had abnormal pap smear results so they redid the pap and everything was okay... maybe they should redo it--depending on how it was abnormal...mine was for hpv... but the next time everything was okay...the doctor said i might have gotten better or somehow the results were just messed up the first time! |

I would get a second opinion on the biopsy thing. If your pap is normal, there shouldn't be a reason to get a biopsy??? And yes, they hurt like HELL!!! The doctor makes you cough and then j... It's nothing to worry about if it was HPV negative. And you didn't do anything wrong by getting oral. Nothing dirty about it. It could be bacteria that built up. That's usually what ... Mild cervical dyspasia is very common and your immune system certainly CAN clear it and the HPV infection that caused it. Your doctor may want you to have another 6 month Pap just to make sure you... I usually don't have sex for about 3-4 days before my appt. After, there isn't a waiting period, but she could be nervous. ...Don't be worried. Inflammation can be caused by many things. You could have a yeast or bacterial infection. Birth control pills, tampons, intercourse, & douching may cause it too. Even... maybe you麓re cervix while openning it got hurt; this is very common when you have a pap smear is a self defense mecanism of your uterus.
