Pap smear results?

I just got a pap smear last week and they called me today saying that I have inflamation and I have to see GYN. I can't make an appt to see gyn until friday. Does anyone know what it can be when you have inflamation down there??? They said the pap results came back normal.

Don't be worried. Inflammation can be caused by many things. You could have a yeast or bacterial infection. Birth control pills, tampons, intercourse, & douching may cause it too. Even the time of your menstrual cycle (between 6-10 days after the start of your period) may cause inflammation.

The most important thing to do is follow up with your doctor. Especially if you have irregular bleeding or bleeding after sex, an increased vaginal discharge or a low, dull pelvic ache.

It may be an inflamation of your cervix...? That's the only thing I could think of. If it is, you should have no worries some medication should bring it back down to size in a couple weeks.

Well thats good that your pap is normal. The inflamation could be from anything. Our womenly parts are so sentive. I wouldn't worry about it since your testing was clear.
