Pap Smear Question?

I had a pap smear done on Friday morning. Since then I have been bleeding. Almost like a period, but not as heavy. I'm on birth control and am taking my pills the same time every day, and my period isn't due for another 2 weeks. I was just curious as to what it could be, and if this has happened to anyone else. I've never had this bleeding problem after any of my other paps.

maybe you麓re cervix while openning it got hurt; this is very common when you have a pap smear is a self defense mecanism of your uterus. But as you take bc pills too; it can be due to them also. If this lasts for more days you should call your doctor; more days can mean it麓s your bc pills. If you have been taking them less than 3months it can be common; if not it is an irregular bleeding and you should consult your doctor.

Ive never heard of that before, usually you spot a little the day you have the pap but that's it. Maybe they accidently cut you inside, I'd call to be sure.

it may be because you have started the pill on a high dose,i dough is because of the pap because usually u only have spotting after the pap but i would go back to the doctor they could check u and tell you what it is.

I have had bleeding before. My doc. has always told me that you could have light bleeding for a couple of days after a pap. becuase of the stretching and the scraping or swabbing that they do. If you are really worried about it I would call my doc. and just ask if that is normal. Good luck.
