Im 5'3 and 210 pounds. ok, im huge. Does anyone have any way for me to lose at least 10-20 pounds. 50 would be great. I have the nike+ shoes. Any ideas? Stick to about 1,200 calories a day. And DO SPRINTS!!
Instead of counting calories though, maybe you could just start eating healthier stuff. Don't eat any junk food, and if you must, try eating sugar free chocolate pudding or something better for you. There's a big difference between saturated fats and healthy fats. You do need some fat but not from processed foods and empty calories.
What are empty calories? Donuts, chips, any pastries are very bad, all that stuff. DON'T EAT THEM!!
Try eating several small meals a day which consist of 1 protein and 1 vegetable and you will lose a lot of weight. For breakfast have a bowl of oatmeal or two eggs. Cut back on the bread. If you're up for it and want even faster results, for 3 minutes a day do sprints! That will burn up the calories faster than you can imagine. Exercise is the best way. And you'll burn calories even while you're sleeping. GOOD LUCK with your fitness goals, it's good that you see you have a problem and you're doing something to change it. STOP EATING CRAP stairs, lots and lots of stairs
walk or sprint up and down the stairs
throw out all junk food - if it does not grow on a tree, get pulled from the ground or run around on four legs - do not eat it - potato chips do not count ! they are processed in fat... To a very high degree, you should weigh as much as you feel happy with weighing.
As far as a "healthy weight", that's what most of the other posts are about (calculating your BMI, diet plans, etc).... but most people will say what the "average" is according to different opinions.
As long as you are at a weight where you are healthy, the most important part is that you are HAPPY with your weight... not that you "should be X pounds", but that no matter what you weigh, you are happy with that instead of striving to be a size 2 or something like that
That being said, if you want to lose weight, exercise is a really good (and safe) way to lose weight. In addition to that, I would recommend meeting with a nutritionist or dietitian to see if there is something else that may benefit you more Weight Watchers is a really good program. You want to make sure you eat healthy and exercise. Don't stop eating! Just watch what you eat and don't eat any really high fat or high calorie foods. Lots of veggies and water and get plenty of exercise. I have lost 68 lbs on WW since Oct 2006 and I exercise religiously now. Ok well anyone who advises you to do sprints has never been big. I am your size and I have been going to Curves for one month. In one month I lost weight and inches and have been eating normally. Curves only takes 30 minutes and its only about $40 a month. It works if you go www.curves.com.
Good Luck build muscle. it'll take your extra fat.(fat that didn't get burn)
i don't exactly remember how.
drink lots of water, eat nuts and raisins to increase metabolism
workout.
eat healthy.
eat slowly, because it takes awhile for food to digest, so
it takes awhile to be full after eating.
eating slowly will allow you to know when you're full to eat less.
don't sit in front of the tv while eating.
pretty much pay attention only to your food when you eat
also allow your body to tell you when you're hungry, when it growls, eat.
do aerobic exercises
do 2 30min exercises then have a 20 min break you'll lose more wight than not taking breaks at all
play music that you enjoy, or music that makes you feel like dancing to you'll exercise more/longer
you can run in one place for 15 min per day or more.
or run up and downstairs. or jog/run/walk around your block.
then slowly increase the time, by 5 min per day.
and if you're gonna do sit-ups, cutches, pull=ups, etc. add 10 per day
starving will get you skinnier but at the end of it when you eat normally again your body will be saving it,
and you'll gain weight faster
like bears saving their food for the winter.
also laughing for 10-15 minutes
burns75 calories
If you get cravings in afternoon, it means you're not getting enough food in the day.
Have and extra half apple, or an extra of something healthy for breakfast or have a snack before
yur usual cravings start everyday.
