Can overactive bladder cause kidney infection too.? |
i went to the dr today for kidney pain because i keep getting kidney infections and frequent urination. and he thinks i have an overactive bladder. So the question is can overactive bladder cause kidney infections too? Probably not likely... I would suspect if anything the reverse would be true. That is, bacteria from the kidney infection would get down into your bladder and irritate it, causing it to act "overactive". Overactive bladder's main symptom is causing you to urinate more, which if anything would be likely to help you flush infecting organisms out of your body more frequently, especially if you're doing what you should be doing and drinking a lot of water. |

Wow, switch your doctor...so unhelpful! You can take meds for this. Look here: ... I've had this problem for years. You need to see a doctor, who may refer you to a urologist or gynecologist. It may be something as simple as medication you need to take. I've actual... No way to do that. It's an area in your bladder called the "trigone". It doesn't stretch as the rest of your bladder will so the pressure of urine there gives you the "urge... Yes it is because of your liquid diet. Despite what is in soup etc, it still contains a high water content, and then to add on what you are drinking as straight water, your body has an overload of... vitamin b6 and b12 are directly linked to your digestive system particularly your bladder ...I guess it depends on what you mean by "function". Just a guess that you went to see your doctor due to a symptom. the medication will help that. ...Only if you peed all over the nurse taking your blood ...You're not alone - one of my friends had the same thing. It started when she was in her early 20s, but now it seems to be much better (she's in her late 20s now). Sorry to hear you peed... |
