Boy, talk about people not reading the question. Sheesh!

All the other answers are good for Urinary Tract health, which has an impact on general bladder health, but not for an overactive bladder.
The problem is that there are a few causes that can make a bladder overactive, and without knowing which cause, it's difficult to say what will help the most. Most commonly, some Phytoestrogens help to calm an overactive bladder, and there's only one natural formulation I've seen that specifically says it's for Bladder control (although it's primarily used for older people). It's at http://www.swansonvitamins.com/webapp/wc...
Good luck!

One of the best herbs for bladder strengthening is cornsilk. It can be found online at most herbal e-commence sites. One of my personal favorite herbal/vitamin combinations is Urinary Maintenance. This formula is designed to strengthen the entire urinary system including the bladder, urethra, and kidneys.

First of all, I would like to applaud your wisdom in choosing to move towards a natural solution to your problem. Unfortunately, even the natural health community tends to practice 'medicine'. 'Take this herb for that problem' is a medical approach, substituting a natural ingredient for the chemical.

As a Holistic Allergist, biofeedback specialist, and Certified Natural Health Professional, I'd like to make you aware of some possible issues involved with the bladder.

First, the bladder is just a holding tank. If it 'gets sick', it is primarily due to something the kidney is doing or not doing.
If you excreting too much urine, too frequently, then the kidney is working too hard. When anyone works too hard, eventually they have to slow down & stop to rest or they crash. I would be more concerned for your kidney.

'Over-active bladder' can meanfrequent urination alone (many dribbles), or urination frequency plus unusually large amount of excretion. This can be a sign of diabetes if accompanied by thirst, and possibly weight loss. You should probably talk to your doctor about that.

If your bladder is filling too frequently, the kidney is filtering too much water. This could happen when you have a mineral imbalance, which could be due to faulty food digestion. It generally means that you could be becoming dehydrated due to an electrolyte imbalance.

An quick fix is to take Nature's Cargo Sea Salt, a few granules under the tongue. The minerals help the water in your body to be absorbed into the cells, which is where you actually need it to be! This cuts the work of the kidney, which will help you sleep through the night for a change! Do this several times a day, plus add a few granules to your drinking water. You can make your own 'Gatorade' this way! It's just electrolytes in water to keep your energy level up.

This will only help control the symptoms. It will not change the cause. By the way, Nature's Cargo Sea Salt will not impact blood pressure. It is just mineral salt...it's sodium chloride (table salt-a chemical) that causes high blood pressure.

Don't buy the sea salt in the grocery department unless it's in a well stocked health food area. It should be slightly greyish-tan in color, not white. White indicates processing, which means you can't tell how many minerals are actually left in it.

Now, re your kidneys: parsley tea, juniper berries, & slippery elm are all good herbal teas to help nourish the kidney. Uva Ursi is a good herb to take as well. You can find this info on the internet...just google/yahoo herbs for kidneys.

BTW, I don't sell this sea salt, but I do use it, and advise my clients to as well.

Hope this gives you some direction to go in,

I would first make sure you don't have diabetes. Frequent urination is a symptom, as is extreme thirst and fatigue.

Some people also just have a small bladder. In that case, there is little that can be done.
