Is it bad to have an overactive bladder? |
I've noticed that I have had to go to the bathroom more than usual lately and I'm not drinking any more than I usually do. When I go it has been extremely intense urination. I don't have any urine leakage (wetting accidents). Is it bad to be going to the bathroom so often. Go and tell your doctor that you've a wee problem. If it is not your normal rate and flow, you need to check your blood sugar. You may be getting glucose intolerant, which can cause frequent urination. Overactive bladder is different, you have to go very frequently, but often get there and don't go at all, or just drip out. Also can leak without warning and have painful urgency to go. Have had both problems, I am betting on you are having high sugar, if you have a relative who tests their sugar, have them check yours before a meal or when you get up in the morning. If it is high, see a doctor and cut back on carbs. |
