Have to pee all the time what is wrong with me?

I went to the doctor and my urine culture was negitive (not a bladder infection, not uti). The test for STD's came back negitive. I was given detrol but i dont think this is overactive bladder because i have to pee even after i just go.

I have the same problem. My doctor also gave me Detrol LA, and also an older drug that treats the same thing (Oxybutinin). I take the Oxybutinin because it works for me and it's cheap ($6 for a refill at Wal-mart with no insurance).

it's not really about overactive bladder; the concept is to make your bladder muscles relax so that they're not constantly constricting and making you feel like you need to go all the time.

I had a string of bladder infections that inflamed my bladder muscles, and made them constrict all the time...so the urologist gave me those prescriptions. Took about a week, but I feel better than I have in years. :)

I'd urge you to take it, and take it at the same time everyday for a while. You'll feel a change.

try doing kagel exercises. where you contract your vaginal/clitoris muscles. they help make them stronger.

Did your doctor check you for Diabetes? That could be it..Take your meds for the overactive bladder!

Sometimes it's not the bladder itself that's the problem, its the muscles surrounding it. Or your nerves could be hypersensitive to the tiniest amount of urine in your bladder because they aren't working right. There are a number of options that you can discuss with your doctor. First of all, see if there's a urogynecologist in your area, they specialize in this. If not, a regular gyno will be ok too. Physical therapy may help as well as a combination of meds. Good luck and keep being persistant with your doctors.
