Interstitial cystitis..? |
i have Interstitial cystitis this it is when you bladder wall is inflammed and is constanly contracting almost like a overactive bladder but not quiet. i was wondering if anyone eles on here has this condition and if anyone had this and became pregnant im 34weeks now and its awful on top of the baby pushing down on my bladder ive had to stop taking my meds because im pregnant anyone know anything to make your bladder calm down. i have IC but can't imagine what it's like to be pregnant with it. try drinking lots of water & i know there are natural ways to calm your bladder. maybe do some research on that. i know it's sometimes unbearable but i find i just have to ignore my bladder symptoms for as long as i can. you can also try elevating your bottom so that a little pressure is taken off your bladder. i understand your pain and frustration. congrats on the bundle of joy! Interstitial cystitis is noninfectious bladder inflammation that causes pain (suprapubic, pelvic, and abdominal), urinary frequency, and urgency with incontinence. Diagnosis is by history and exclusion of other disorders clinically and by cystoscopy and biopsy. With treatment, most patients improve, but cure is rare. Treatment varies but includes dietary changes, bladder training, pentosan, analgesics, and intravesical therapies. |
