I think I have high frequency of urination. What could be the possible cause? |
I am 25 yrs old female. I have started noticing the frequency and have started counting as well. I drink almost 1 liter of water per day. I go to urinate 12 times or more during day and 2 times during night. I don't drink that much before going to bed but still I go twice in night. I don't know if the urination is proportionate to volume of intake or I have something else such as overactive bladder. Does anybody have similar problem? What do you think might be the likely reason for it? Please advise me. Thanks. I do not feel complete emptying sometimes . Also, I have slow stream and sometimes interrupted or sometimes have to force the bladder Could be an overactive bladder, small bladder, diabetes, or just your intake volume. You could have overactive bladder (which is treatable) or it could be that you have gotten your body in a routine. Check with a doctor to be certain. At 25 years old you should not have to get up twice a night to urinate. Something is going on so go see your doc and find out what is causing your urinary frequency. The amount of water you are drinking in fine and not the cause. See the doc as something is going on. Get a check for diabetes Get checked for diabetes. This can be a sign of diabetes, go to the doctor and get it checked out. Its could be small bladder syndrome, but this normaly includes bed wetting. My ex partners brother had a small operation and this sorted it out! Excesive urination can also be a sign of diabetes! hope this helps This frequent urination could be caused by a variety of reasons. Whether good or bad, it can be a number of things. i don't know, but i'm 17 and i get up ATLEAST 2 times per night. I don't know i've gotten used to it so it doesn't bother be and i'm not willing to take bladder medicine so i haven't been to the doctor. I guess I'm not giving much advice, but make sure you are eating enough water soluble fiber and limit caffine, lemon, and soft drinks before long car trips! good luck, i hope you figure this out! go to a renal dr Please see a doctor and get some test and elliminate some of the serious possible causes. You could have a Urinary Tract infection. If you catch it early, you can take cranberry pills and you should be fine. If not, look for other symptoms like gross hematuria (visible blood in your urine), pain or burning with urination and cloudy urine. If any of these apply (especially the hematuria) then you need to see a doctor immediately and get started on a course of antibiotics. If not, it could just be from drinking so much water. Also, what are the possibilities that you're pregnant? Even before the embryo grows and puts pressure on the kidneys, a hormone (human chorionic gonadotropin) which leads to frequent urination. |
