Frequently unrinating?

just wondering if anyone can help me.
i have recently been experiencing problems with urinating. i can go up to 10 times a day. when i do go to the toilet i sometimes have a weak flow or if i hold on long enough i might have a strong flow, after i have finished 2 mintues later im back in the toilet and its only a weak flow. theres no pain what so ever. my gp said its not urine infection (it was tested) and said i have an overactive bladder. after looking it up on the net, i found that i only have some of the symptoms but many of the symptoms are the same as urine infection. (minus the soreness). sometimes i can go a few hours without having to urinate. the gp said it might be psychological and that i have retrain my bladder to go every few hours. my question is has anyone experienced what i have, should i get a second opinion. any info can help.

You might have a urinary tract infection

get a second opinion. i had all sorts of kidney infections and urine infections. what ur describing sounds like an infection! you cant really all of a sudden develop a over active bladder. mine was brought on by my kids. get a second opinion what harm can it do?

it may not be an infection...i suspect you are diabatic or have stones in the kidney...do the necessary checkups...don take my answer too seriously as only ur doctor will be able to cofirm after the tests...but never hesitate..do a complete body check...many symbtoms are the signs of a big disease.

First of all, you did not say if you were a man or woman, this can tell or compare to simular problems. My hubby had this for years and found the right urologist! he was a proffessor of urology from the Univerisity of Chicago so he was no quack! Ny husband had a blockage in the uretha. Hubby kept getting UTIs from this. He had a surgery that a mesh was implanted in the Bulbous Uretha section. This kept him flowing. At this time ther was only 173 of these surgeries done in the U.S. it was done allot in Europe , we heard. Only a very few top urogilists know of this surgery. Now my husband flows like he should, no U.T.I.s and this is wonderful. If you can get to Chicago to the University of Chicago, ask to see Dr. Bales. He is a professor of Urology that performs this surgery and you will be happy that you did. You are definety seeing the wrong Dr. now, because if he says that it is all in your head, dump that Doctor and see a real doctor for help before it gets worse!!! Yes, the surgery is hard but well worth it. if you can't make it to Chicago to see Dr. Bales, call his office and say where you are from and ask a reference from him because he does seminars for all urologists no matter what part of the US you are from. Don't go to the emergency room should you be blocked, you will get butchered said my husband's Doctor. He started out just like you a slow flow and so little and so frequent then, the real problems finally came, don't let it get that far. See a compadent Doctor, yours is not. never hold your bladder! This can cause a bladder or a Urinary Tract Infection!!! I bet you have the beginning of a dense urethal stricture. I would not let it go too long, my Husband got so blocked he couldn't urinate at all and I had to rush him to the specialist's office many miles away in the morning, and with the grace Of God, no Bladder or liver damage since it caused so much bleeding and backed up into the bladder. I couldn't find the name of his surgery and will continue to look for it today. Please call around, call Dr. Bales Office, go there if you can, get the best specialist for this, it is a very intense and delicate surgery, i bet this is what you have. I would hope that maybe some scar tissue would be removed and you will be fine, but chances are you will close up like my Husband did and have to have the surgery anyway. If you are a woman, you need to see a better doctor! if a doctor says that it is in your head, then you are seeing someone that should not be a doctor, a Neurosurgeon told me that! God Bless You! If I find the name of Hubby's surgery, I will post it and ask if anyone had it done, I will put your username in there somewhere, under diseases and conditions. You can always click on my profile and look there and make it easier for you, if a doctor knows this surgery, he is probable a good one, however, my husband would never let any doc perform this unless he is a professor of urology!

I've been there and am just now seeing a change. My answer (for my situation) is anxiety and stress. I rarely feel that I have emptied my bladder. It sometimes takes several minutes to complete what used to take a minute. I suggest you see a good urologist. There are medications you can take, and if you aren,t into that kind of therapy, there are professional therapists who specialize in this area.

alot of men have prostate problems if your around 40 espeacially. i would still have it checked regaurdless of age

i would get a second opinion.
if it turns out you have an overactive bladder, then there is medication for it.
good luck

maybe you have a bladder problem

How about Diabetes? Prostate problems? MAybe a cyst or growth in the urethra?

Most probably you absentmindedly sat on a hot or warm seat. And that happened to me, too. All I did was to soak my butt with cold water for 20 minutes and drink lukewarm water. But then it's just a first aid. You must see you doctor to check on your kidneys and gall bladder as well as urinary tract infection. You must also drink coconut juice to clean your kidney and gall bladder.

See your DOCTOR without fail......NOW

Did you check your blood sugar? you may be diabetic. consult a doctor instead of depending on yahoo answers.

i think u are obsessing over peeing

and your doctor noticed this as well

it's probably just your bladder is smaller than most normal ones which makes u go more often, and if u keep worrying about it you're going to end up spending too much time in the toilet where u really will get some type of infection from all the germs floating around

Definitely! I would get a second opinion, before trying to "retrain" your bladder. You need to know the exact problem in order to fix it.
