I've been peeing every hour for over a month now. Please help me!? |
This all began over a month ago. I starting peeing way 2 much out of the normal for a couple of days then it got bad a t night so I went to the doctor. I had a uti and was prescribed Bactrim for 5 days. After taking the medicine for a couple of days it got better but returned on the last day of the medicine. I waited a few days and then went back to the doctor and he checked my urine and everything looked good so he sent it to the lab and told me to return in 10 days for the results. I went back to the doctor on day 10 and he said everything was good. He then assumed that I must be having overactive bladder and put me on Detrol la for a month and told me to return. I have now been taking it almost a month and the frequent urination went away for about a week and now I'm having it again. I go back to the doctor in less than a week. Please give me advise if you have any! I don't have any other side effects just peeing a normal amount every hour. I haven't been sexually active since Aug. I am a 26 year old female. I had a kid 6 years ago and everything went normal. I'm not having any burning. I don't know if the doctor checked for sugar. He checked my urine himself and then sent it to the lab and both times he just said everything looked good. I don't know exactly what he checked for. im having the same problem right now and i found out its a bladder infection now, not a UTI anymore. I let it go untreated for so long that it became a bladder infection. Your issue is probably that the antibiotics didnt work the first time so now its back with a vengeance! my doc prescribed me Cipro today so we'll see how it goes. Drink tons of water or cranberry juice (or both) and take some over the counter UTI pills (AZO) so when you DO pee the urine coming out is full of cranberry juice n water. cranberries help with the infection and the pain but you need stronger antibiotics like Cipro or Septra (sp?). good luck girl~ prostate? Did they check your urine for sugar?? Frequent peeing is a very common symptom of diabetes, it's one of the most important symptoms that can help a dr find out if you do have it. Is there any pain during the urination?? Do you have problems starting a stream?? Might have something to do with your prostate. I don't know your age so it's really hard to tell for that. If your dr can't figure it out, I would suggest seeing a different dr to get a second opinion as I'm sure that you would like to get this figured out asap. only thing i can suggest is dont drink any tea or coffee because those are natural diuretic and may make you pee more If there is nothing wrong medically I would look at what you are drinking during the day. |
