I really need info.... what kinds of over the counter medicines can affect a drug test and give a false pos?

My friend had a pre-employment drug test (the spit test kind) and tested positive for amphetamines. He doesn't do drugs or even drink alcohol. Before he went he did drink an energy drink but we didn't think that would be a problem. He also takes over the counter migrane pills. He also takes Tramodol and Atenenol. Any info would be helpful. He went to a lab and took a urine test to fight the original test but we are just baffled by this.

Why doesn't he take the pre-employment test again? He better be honest with his future employer. And if he is clean as you are saying then he doesn't need any of the medicine you are looking for.

Things you eat will give a false positive such as rolls or breads with poppy seeds on them....Those seeds will do it everytime....
