What over the counter medicines could I take as an anti-inflammatory?

My face is swollen, and I have know idea why.

Please get yourself to your doctor. In the interim, ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory.

If your face is swollen, it is probably from fluid retention, not inflamation. See a doctor, because the swelling could be nothing, but it could also be something serious.

Ibuprofen works well. If you have a strong stomach, take 800 to 1200 mg. Talk to a doctor.

My husband likes Aleve.

There's also Naproxen, but might need a script.

Motrin, Alieve, Advil, Ibuprofen. Maybe ice it. Go to the doctor.

benadryl would probably be best or naproxen (Aleve).

Swollen faces typically points to one main thing, an allergic reaction. However, it also could be muscular. I would speak with the pharmacist at the drug store before purchasing (or see the doctor would be best...but if you can't, talk with the pharmacist), and see if your symptoms reflect more allergic reaction, or muscular challenges. If it is an allergic reaction, Benedryl would be the way to go. If it is muscular, Advil would be the way to go.

Aleve in my opinion works the best for inflammation.
I had back surgery and also have rheumatoid arthritis.
Naproxen is Aleve... just in prescription form. I'm prescribed Naproxen because it's cheaper on my insurance than purchasing a bottle of Aleve.
Also, you should see a doctor. You may just have a spider bite or could be an allergic reaction.
