Can my son take zyrtec and over the counter medicines too?

Dimetap, benedryl, robitussin, triaminic, mucinex. any of these. he is on it once a day and i was wondering if any of you knew if there was a specific drug/ingredient that shouldn't be taken at the same time.

I've been taking Zyrtec and Benedryl for well over 5 years. It's totally safe.

Occasionally, when I get a cold, I'll take Robitussin while still maintaining my other two allergy meds.

Your son should be fine, however give his doctor a call and be sure it is ok with the doctor.

Maybe you could let us know what the over the counter medicines are or you could call your pharmacy and ask them. Better to be safe than sorry!

my son was on zyrtec daily and his doctor told me if nessessaty he could take benadryl also.

I'm not 100% sure so I don't want to tell you one way or the other, but your pharmacist will know of sure. Just call Walmart's pharmacy and ask to talk to the pharmacist you won't even have to go there.

yes zyrtec is one of the safest drugs anyone can take..!!
