Are there any GREAT over the counter allergy medicines? |
Advil Allergy and Sinus worked a little while for me, but now my allergies are terrible! The other day I was rubbing my eyes and having sneezing fits, and when I came inside from gym my eyes were puffy, pink and bloodshot. I need an allergy medicine that will get rid of a runny nose, itchy eyes, sneezing, and an itchy throat. ~~*~~ I have the same problem!! The culprit? Dust, pollen and mold!!! A horrible mixture for this time of the year!! I have been taking Alavert Allergy and Sinus. It's a 12 hour, one pill dose that is non-drowsy! Because it contains pseudoephedrine, you'll have to talk to your pharmacist to get it. It's so worth it!! Check out their website. They usually have a coupon on there. And if you sign up for their e-mail news letter on allergy updates, they'll send you a coupon for like, $6 off any Alavert purchase. With that much of a savings, it's worth at least trying! I hope this helps! Good luck!! Claritin Benadryl benadryl for allergies and sinus Claritan You need Equate eye allergy drops...they're a must.. And nasal sprays helped me, but don't overdue it...it'll make you burn. Claritin Worked miraculous wonders for my spring allergies! yeah sudafed you can make meth with it :) Claritin works for me!! Claritin is the best thing OTC. It is non-drowsy and used to be an RX. try claritin (i'm not sure if I spelled that right) but I heard that helps anything I really like the clariton, it's non drowsy and you take it daily. It's the only thing that helps me that I can still be AWAKE while taking. Wal Mart and Walgreens has a generic brand that is cheaper and works just as well. When my allergies are really bad I do Benadryl for a day or two, once they are under control I use Claritin (or generic). Benadrly works great but makes you very drowsy, Claritin is wonderful for everyday use long term. Claritin is the best. Benadryl can cause dizziness and drowsyness. Claritin D is the best I have found. Claritin.. Absolutely. The allergy shoots are wonderful and you don't have to keep taking pills all the time. Benadryl works great and eye drops to help your dry eyes. Claritin has always worked wonders for me. If your allergies/sinus issues stem from mold, pet dander, or yeast, I have found an instant - all natural - cure. Whenever my nose gets stopped up and my eyes start to "water" and itch, I take two "CANDIDA CLEAR" caps from NOW vitamins, and/or pop an "OIL OF OREGANO" pill (any brand) - and the relief is instantaneous. I'm talking 40 - 50 seconds. All natural, no side effects, no prescription, no return visit to the Doctor. Which is probably why he/she would never recommend the remedy. (no money to be made in "all natural" remedies that work). |
