What is some good over-the-counter Nausea medicine? |
I have anxiety in certain public situations. I don't get the normal anxiety, where you feel like your overwhelmed and have to run out. I get it where I feel very sick to my stomach and like i'm going to vomit at any moment even though I never actually do get sick. Is there any good over the counter medicine for nausea or feeling nauseous that you could recommend? Thanks. definitely dramamine...I couldn't live without it...also coke and gingerale and saltine crackers..and as far as natural remedies go, try ginger or peppermint tea Coca Cola. dramamine.........works good for me, bought it at wal-mart. coke syrup..most pharmacies carry it..I had to use it when I was pregnant. No fizz..just the syrup. tums Zantac or its generic alternative, Ranitidine I have had problems with severe nausea and my son has abdominal migraines. I do not think there are any effective OTC medicines, or even Rx meds for nausea if you really have a severe problem. Since your nausea is from anxiety, it makes more sense to treat the anxiety. Talk to your doctor. try Bach Remedies - any good healthfood store will carry them - there is a little booklet with them, go through it and find the one that best matches your situation. i have 3 kids and they get up set stomach aces all the time the best thing to get and i give you my word its called anti-nausea liquid for nausea at rite aid its the off brand .hope you will try it because it really works.hope you feel better. Ginger. You can get tabs, usually labelled for travel-sickness. Clinically proven to at least help. Good luck:) Try Coca Cola, Sprite or 7Up, good for settling the stomach. You don't need to take anything that is going to put you to sleep. Crackers are also good for a sick stomach. Dramamine is available in all drug stores. Or try sprite. If you are living in Canada, get Gravol. It really works. I live in Toronto Canada we have an anti nausient caleld Gravol I assume it's in the US as well. It is great for all kinds of nausia. Stomach Flu air, car sickness, even those anoying nervous jitters. But it may cause drowsiness. Also try Pepto Bismol no drowseness and you can take as much as you need too. Both come in liquid or pills and Adult or child doses. |
