Ovarian cysts..?? |
I have an ovarian cyst on my left ovary.. i went in for an ultrasound the other day and it was the most painful thing i have ever experienced.. she said one ovary was lower then the other and i also have a tilted uterus.. I go in Saturday to discuss the the ultrasound.. I worried about ovarian cancer..and i want to be able to have kids one day..Does anyone have information about these problems.? I also recently had an ovarian cyst. I feel for you, they arent any fun! Basicly, this is why they occur. When you get your period, a cyst always forms around your egg. This cyst bursts and releases the egg. Sometimes the cyst is large and does not burst and that's why you have so much pain. The horrible thing is that these cysts can reoccure, and this is not uncommon. My gynocologist put me on hormone suprecents to lower this risk. Don't fear the worst, I also woried about cancer but in the end it wasn't an issue. Good luck with everything! I had ovarian cyst before and it was real bad I had to have my right ovary and ftube removed, they tell me that I can still have children, but you see is that I already have three kids so I wasn't really worried about having anymore kids. But don't put it off, because it will get a whole lot worse, unless they caught it early, I hope so. I wish you luck and plenty of little ones to chase and love. i had them when i was a teenager. they are painful. now i have three children. Ovarian cysts are very common during the reproductive cycle. The tilted uterus can be caused by fibroids. You can visit www.webmd.com for more information and be prepared to discuss the ultrasound results with your doctor, which is the most important thing to do. It's possible you may have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I have had it for years. I wouldn't worry about cancer yet. A good website to try for info is www.pcosupport.org. They have lots of info on PCOS and support on the site. I've had cysts removed in out patient surgery and while it is painful, it can be tolerated. Some times taking birth control can help keep the cysts under control. It took the doctors years to figure out I had PCOS. Educate yourself and ask lots of questions. Good luck! |
