Ovarian Cysts???? |
Ok the Doctor Called me at home tonight about 5:30pm telling that he got my records from the hospital, and he told me that they are worried about a cyst larger the 5cm on one of my ovaries! What could this mean? 5 cm is pretty big right? Please give me answers!! It's about about 2 inches, which is big but not huge. Did he say how he wanted to treat it. Typically they put you on the pill first to see if it will subside on it's own. If it doesn't change, they may want to try & remove it through a Laparoscopic procedure. Either way, you will be fine afterwards. Hopefully, you will have an appointment soon to talk with your Dr. & discuss a treatment plan. Good luck! I just had one that was 6 cm removed and they said it was pretty big. First they will probably watch it for a while to see if it gets larger or smaller. They told me most ovarian cysts are benign, so don't worry too much about cancer. If it doesn't get better, they may do surgery. They made 3 very small incisions and did mine laproscopically. I went home the same day. Don't panic! Ovarian Cysts are common as a matter of fact, most women have them. I'm sure they are just being cautious. Yeah I would have them laser it off or something cause I tell ya thats when they get ready to bust an That is the worst pain ive ever had in my life.. An it comes with no warning an brings you straight to ur knees... My ovarian cyst was 13x9 cm large and my entire r ovary had to be removed, as it was the size of a very large grapefruit or bigger. They are pretty common and I am not sure if they can remove the cyst itself, but Im sure they could. You probably have PCOS or something along those lines, thats what I have. I had a cyst but I don't think it was that big. The doctor didn't seemed concerned. I feel your pain Ohio_Girl. Mine burst in the middle of the night and I ran to my mom and told her I thought my appendix had ruptured! lol. It was HORRIBLE!!! My friend had a cyst that had to be removed when she was in her late teens..maybe early 20's. That was about 5 or 6 years ago. She gave birth to a beautiful baby girl a few months ago. It took a lot of trying at first but she finally got pregnant. Don't stress. You'll be fine. =] |
