Ovarian cysts.....? |
have you had them and what were your symptoms??? It's me again...Yes, had cysts on both ovaries. Low back pain mostly. I wasn't aware I had these until I had the vaginal ultrasound... Yes I have.... mine gave me lots of pain in my lower area. I started taking birth control pills and they disappeared. yes.....PAIN....I feel like all my innards are going to fall out.....however after they burst my abdomen just feels bruised for a couple of days afterward. omg the first time I remember having them.. I was doubled over freaking out thinking it was something major.. lol.. but when I went to the doctor they told me that it hurt so much because my cysts must have torn or broke...and the blood causes pain. But I remember feeling really crappy pains in my lowwer stomach, and I had a fever.. Wasn't fun.... I had intense pain in my right side. First doctors thought I had appendicitus, scan showed alot of fluid around my right ovary (a cyst had popped). when a big cyst popped i would get really bad sicknes because of the crap the cyst had let into my body. I go on drips of antibiotics to clear up the infection the cyst juice causes. most cysts are small and disappear without any knowledge of them. some cysts can be very dangerous and worth getting checked out if you have pain on either side where your ovaries are. if left untreated can cause problems conceiving. yes, had them, they hurt in the lower stomach, your likely t to get them again, no worry though just get on the pill, or if you are on the pill, they will dissolve the cysts for you... Yes have them, the doc saw them during an ultrasound, that was years ago, I have never felt any pain, or had any symptoms at all. I have had them alot led to having many surgerys and bad lower abdominal pain sometimes they resolve themselves every woman gets them when they ovulate but they go away on thier own sometimes though they cause pain..i used to double over in pain and my periods were very heavy i would suggest seeing an ob/gyn that you trust some dont think they are a big deal but they do hurt...Good Luck They are painful, mine were removed...along with everything else,....I had hundreds of cysts all over. I also had Endrometrosis...Yep I HAD a lot of pain...bleeding for 6 months and then hemorraging. It was a mess.....My problem went on for several years...due to HMO.....crap. Finally I told my Reg Doctor I was thinking of committing suicide....because I was just sick of it....At that point my Quality of Life became the issue....and the HMO ok'd the Hysterectomy....They didn't know exactly what the problems were until they cut me open. I had to consent to a complete Hysterectomy before they would operate. When in the recovery room (I had a really jerky OBGYN...that fought me tooth and nail thru the whole several years of process (My GP Doc got him and the HMO off his duff ) In Recovery he said to me "Well I guess you were right all along, you had more problems than I would ever have thought you had, we stopped counting after 200 cysts, but you will be fine now"......Go Figure...... ouchy! heard they were very painful. Yes, i've had them and they're pretty much like everyone else says. there's usually severe, some times stabbing pain. my doc once gave me something, probably a hormone, that helped "dissolve" them, but in general they just burst and go away until the next month. unfortunately for me too, mine are always on the right side, so sometimes i wonder if it's my appendix. If the pain is really bad, i take aleve and go to bed with a heating pad. that helps some. but of course, if I can go to sleep through any kind of pain, i'm doing good... I didn't have it ever, thank God, but here's a list of symptoms that can be expected.. |
