Ovarian Cysts - Medical Professionals Please!? |
I have had a few ovarian cysts over the past few months... I ruptured one in november... and my husband had to take me to the ER on our honeymoon because one was so painful... this particular cyst didn't rupture, and hasn't yet... its still painful at times, but no where near where it was on our honeymoon... we've been married 2 weeks, and i'm terrified that if we have sex it will irritate the cyst again... What is the risk of that? My poor husband is afraid to touch me, because he thinks that he'll hurt me... but i'm afraid that it might rupture the cyst or at least hurt VERY badly... I have been on "The Pill" for about 3 years... and i have a percocet (sp?) prescription for the pain... but i know cysts can get infected, and i don't want to rupture a cyst thats infected, and end up with Toxic Shock or something equally bad... I have polycystic ovary syndrome, I feel your pain. The one thing that has worked miracles for me and a lot of other people with ovarian cysts is birth control. Personally, I'd recommend seasonale. I've been taking it for 3 or 4 years now and I must've been crazy to let the pain get so bad before when the solution was really easy. Good luck honey! I know they can hurt horribly. i am not a medical professional but a woman who has ovarian cyst problems i also have had ones that burst and ones that come and go and the pain associated with it come and go..in my personal experience sex will not make the cyst worse but can at times be painful depending on how swollen the cyst is Let me guess your some 40 year old weirdo that sits at home surfing the questions for ones posted by 13 boys. |
