Regarding ovarian cysts? |
Last year, I had two sizeable and painful ovarian cysts. While being examined for the first one, I discovered that I only had one ovary and one fallopian tube. The pain from the first persisted for nearly a month. Almost immediately after the pain had finally ceased, the second cyst formed. The pain from that lasted over a month as well. The OBGYN wrote me a prescription for Percocet and told me to call her if the pain got worse (not, if the pain persisted, only if it got worse). The pain ranges from an almost cramp-like muscle pain to waves of pain everytime I move, walk, cough, laugh, etc. I would stop all medication & get something else & definitely stop the extra iron. Iron can contribute to cyst growth.... pls go to a web site soul cysters u could get good answers there I have the same problem you have. In 2003 I started having pain. It was a cyst. They would go away and come back.. sometimes bigger than before. In 2004 I had to have the cyst surgically removed. This year the same thing happened on my other ovary. I had my second surgery 3 months ago and I know have one ovary and no fallopian tubes which mean I am unable to have children on my own. Its a painful process. Mine were so bad I had to leave school. I cant determine your pain for you but if its as bad as mine that you might have to have surgery. I tried all kinds of pain meds but nothing worked. I had to remove the source of the problem, my ovary and fallopian tubes. I went through this when I was 15-18 years old, I was not thinking about having children then but now I am married and I wish I could have a child. It hurts but thats life. My advise to you is that if the pain is something you can deal with then do it!!!!!! My doctor told me that it was the ovary that was the problem and they needed to remove it. It might be the same for you. I hope it allworks out for you Hi Jessica, |
