Can otitis externa cause otitis media? |
I've had otitis externa for a few months now and i woke up this morning with pain deep in my ear and it hurts to swallow or open my mouth. Could this just be a short term blockage or could this be a result of the otitis externa? cscscs |

You don't state whether you have been prescribed anything by a doctor for your condition. If you have been diagnosed properly, as I will assume you have, since you have the medical terminol... otitis media is an infection. you have to see an ENT doctor for that. he will give you the proper antibiotics to drop in your ear ...It is a bacterial infection of the inner ear. Your ears bled because of how severe your ear infection was. Meaning you should of gone to the doctor MUCH sooner. Hope you ear feels better!! ...It sounds as if you have 'serous otitis media'.
