Can some {{{Please tell me}} what is otitis media? |
I'm trying to understand what the heck is {{{Otitis media? I think it has something to do with an Inner canal ear infection, but I want to know how serious the Ear Infection is! I went to emergency last night, because my ear infection started to bleed. Dr. said" your diagonisis, is Otitis Media, but he did not explain what that was. Does anyone out there know anything about this type of Ear infection? It is a bacterial infection of the inner ear. Your ears bled because of how severe your ear infection was. Meaning you should of gone to the doctor MUCH sooner. Hope you ear feels better!! Middle ear not inner ear. Report It Inflammation of the middle ear. Ear infection. It's normal to have a little blod with this infection. give time and you will feel better nothing in the ear except your elbow Otitis media is an infection of the middle ear. The middle ear is the area right behind your ear drum. Often these infections are caused by bacteria creeping up your throat through the eustachian tube. The eustachian tubes keep pressure from building up by letting air move in and out of your middle ear through your throat. Often the infections are caused by Strep. Its just a middle ear infection. My son has that right now. Antibiotics should clear that right up. It is an infection of the middle ear, which is a general DX. Your ear started bleeding because your ear ruptured. your ear drum that is and that is very common as well. It means that your ear does not allow fluid to drain out the proper way it's suppose to. In kids it's common to have tubes placed in their ears. Use your ear drops/anti-biotics to the T. You'll feel better in a few days. |

It sounds as if you have 'serous otitis media'.
