My Son is suffering from "Serous Otitis Media". Any experience you guys have with this?

Or the Tube doctor is suggesting for his ear.......any suggestions anyting? Please help

Homeopathy has better and long lasting treatment, it cures it for life and helps improve immune system.

Can anyone tell me where can I get Homeopathy medicines. I am looking or Kali Phos 6x.

It has been found, but not widely circulated for obvious reasons, that cow's milk and milk products play a significant role in otitis Media. The connection is not clear, but I strongly suggest that you start weaning him off cow milk.

Soy may be the best alternative. Try mixing it in increasing proportions with his regular milk. (Please say he is on 2% or less in his current milk. If not, wean him down on the fat content first.) But, getting off milk, has produced the most consistant improvements.

Good luck

My now 5 year old had tubes put into both ears about 2 years ago. It cleared his ear infections up A LOT! They just give you antibiotic drops for their ears when/if an infection starts up, and they don't have the pain from otitis media. His tubes fell out about 6 months ago and his ear drums healed up great. We did not have any problems.
Something that I wish I had known about was to ask your specialist about removing adenoids. It's not a big procedure, and infected adenoids can cause lots of the ear infections.

For treatment, make sure he takes the full course of antibiotics prescribed by the doctor. He may also need something for a fever.

Tubes are recommended for severe or persistent recurring infections, talk with your doctor about this. If he has tubes, make sure that he avoids excessive water. A normal shower is fine, but no lakes or pools etc. Often a child may get custom ear plugs. Also, tubes can fall out of the ear so monitor for this.
