What are some ways to get rid of fluid behind eardrum (otitis media)?

I have had antibiotics and tryed swimmers ear but my ear is still feeling like it needs to pop and some hearing loss for about 5 months

have you gone to an ENT? you might have to get tubes in your ear drum as a way to clear the fluid. otitis media and swimmer ear are two different things and both are treated differently... you may need to clarify a little bit more. what type of fluid do you have thin watery fluid or thick pussy fluid? all of these things can affect how you will be treated by a doctor. usually thin watery fluid will clear up on its own, but thick fluid is serious business. as for your eustation tubes... if they aren't opening or closeing properlly you will need to see a doctor. steroid shots and other medications can help with that.

on a different note sometimes chiropractors can help with otitis media if you like alternative forms of medicine.

try doing a headstand for about 5 minutes

see your dr. my son has that problem had to have tubes put in his ears, simple operation

No advice here is going to help you more than going to a doctor...this is your ear you're talking about.

I have a friend who swears by Sudafed for this, it dries up the extra liquid. However, if you've experienced hearing loss, go see a doc, you may need ear tubes or some other treatment.

having ear infections all my life, i would have to tell you to go to an ear nose and throat doctor. that doesnt too good. if you ahve chronic ear infections and swimmers ear you may need tubes in your ears. its no biggies though they do put you to sleep. i ahd my tonsils out and tubes in my ears 5 years ago at teh sametime. it worked wonders!!! ive been 5 years free of ear infections and sometimes i get a soar trhoat because of ym allergies but thats aobut it!!!
