How soon can i fly after having otitis media, middle ear infection causing a burst ear drum ?

How soon can i fly after having otitis media, middle ear infection causing a burst ear drum ?

i wouldnt fly at all... flying increases the preasure in your ear causing them to 'pop'. if you fly, you run the risk of bursting the ear drum again.

i would call and ask your doctor. in my opinion, i wouldn't for a couple months.

Give it at least 1 week to 10 days, but be sure to see your doctor for a follow-up before flying.

you will have to ask your own Doctor this one since They need to inside your ear, to make sure all is O.K. or just ask you own G.P.

as your eardrum has already burst there is no reason why you should not be able to fly. but make sure you don't have any infection in the other ear as a combination of infection and air pressure change could result in that one rupturing too! hope you have a good trip :)
