My ear is infected. What to do?

Otitis media (ear infections) has made me deaf. Ive had hundreds of them over the years. they are painful as hell and 2x it turned into menengitis.
Here are my options.
Stay home and wait it out. Maybe a hot water bottle will force my ear drum to perforate or
2. Go to Johns Hopkins ER.
I am worried they will just send me home because nobody there usually knows what a modified radical mastoidectomy looks like and they say "I dont see anythoing" and act like I am a junkie trying to get drugs.

Thanks guys. Your advise is heeded.
Just got back from the er. New antibiotics and (surprisingly) pain pills!

your DR should be seeing you on a regular basis due to this. so you are already deaf due to this. I Work w/ a kid that was neglected ear infections as young child abuse now deaf.
wow. no the pain is bad. you need Rx to get rid of it. look on net ways to prevent in future, herbs to take etc. I am so sorry....... get help!!

I would go to the ER, pronto!
