Can someone with lupus and an ostomy give birth to a healthy child?

Can someone with lupus and an ostomy give birth to a healthy child?

Lots of women with ostomies have healthy babies. Lupus might even improve somewhat during pregnancy but get worse afterwards. Lupus and ulcerative colitus (the most common reason for ostomy) are auto-immune diseases, and there can be periods of remission followed by periods of flare-up.

You should considert, however, whether you are well enough to care for a baby. The ostomy should be no problem, but lupus is a very serious disease, and you might need all your strength just to take care of yourself. Good luck!

Yes, you can with Lupus - I'm sorry, I don't know what an ostomy is

Yes, my friend had Lupus(He passed away)
