Can u get osteoporosis...? |
can overweight ppl get osteoporosis too?? i know ppl always think of the little old ladies and stuff, but do big ppl get it? I suppose they could, if they do not take in enough calcium, vitamin d, and vitamin c. Generally they do not exercise and that is a risk factor. Anyone can get osteoporosis. It doesn't matter if you are heavy or thin. Thin people are more prone to it but anyone can get it. osteoporosis usually sets in after/during menopause when women stop producing estrogen...so, i guess overweight women can get it as well No one is immune to getting osteoporosis. As women get older their risk of developing it increases. There are lifestyle habits that can contribute to it such as smoking and caffeine. |
