I have Osteoarthritis & Rheumatoid Arthritis in my hands. What can I take/do to stop the pain & disabling? |
I've taken Prednisone & Methotrexate etc. in the past. Nothing has helped. I can't continue working. Having A LOT of problems at home doing things. My husband does a lot for me. My hands are stiff, don't bend & hurt. HELP! Here are a few links that will provide you with good, free information from medical professionals. If you are in cold country use all warm things. I am so sorry to hear you are in so much pain! Some people have increased mobility in their hands by using heat. This loosens the joints and muscles, helping to move your fingers a little more easily. And of course you want to keep using & moving your fingers to maintain any increased range of motion you achieve. There is a finglerless glove you might like to try called Handheater. It has hot packs in it so your hands will get nicely heated up, and your fingers will be exposed so you can start to do some of those tasks around the house! you can get them at www.hotwears.ca. Hope this helps! |
