Can osteoarthritis be reversed?

I was told that you can exercise and slow down damage done by osteoarthritis, by I don't know if you can reverse it.

It can be corrected somewhat. I am at the stage of having
ostepenia (msp) which is a step above osteoarthritis. I
take actonel, plus Calcium 1200 mg per day and hope
it helps reverse it more.
