OsteoArthritis: Anyone have it.. need ideas/advice.?

I have it on my spine. it's hereditary so I've been waiting for it. I'm 41. (I HATE cold) So far, it's still mild, I feel it in my hands, fingers and feet. I don't work (at home mom) and I have primary lymphedema in my foot which is also hereditary that developed.

I hear you sister, I am 37 and suffer from OA of the spine too, it stinks- there are some days that I honestly can not get out of bed. Usually the pain is in the middle of my back and in the right neck/shoulder area. I used to get monthly massages as chiropractic care was to aggressive. Tanning helps me, the bulbs are so soothing it's like a "Calgon, take me away". I take Mobic when needed- that has to be prescribed by a Dr.My latest find is a rice bag- it's a cloth bag with uncooked rice in it. I made mine myself to my own dimentions. You can put it in the microwave and place it on your neck. I know what you mean about the cold, it PHYSICALLY hurts, doesn't it!!! I'm SOO glad it's spring and I'm looking to head down south(I'm in Upstate NY now) after retirement. Swimming is a wonderful exercise, I also cycle. I have heard that "Tart cherries" help, I guess it's found in places like GNC, Glucosimine and chondriton are pretty tried and true but they are horse pills. Good luck and remember...(I have to tell myself this too sometimes) it's NOT a death sentence.

Dear Valeria,

Although I am not a doctor, I will try to help you. I will get directly
to the point: your (inherited) medical problems have to do with
your capacity to perceive/understand the "spiritual truths"--which
is, either blocked, either limited. I might say that you are in a state
of "sleeping". You need a Spiritual Master--able to initiate your
"wakening". Find him! But be careful not to fall in a trap...

Maybe you are giving too much attention to the material aspects
of the life.

I know nothing about you, so I can only make suppositions.
Nevertheless, the illness you have says something about your
person.

You must change your way of "seeing" the life and the people
around you.
In general, if you want to improve your state, start by NOT rising
"claims": to God, to your husband, to your parents, to your child.
Learn to accept "the humiliation" processes with which you are
confronting. For example, if your husband does not have "eyes"
for you, do not blame him! Search for a Love which is above the
earthly love. Learn to forgive, if you want to be forgiven. Be more
"flexible" (or less "rigid"). Develop your faith. Do not neglect your
soul--which is screaming!--unfortunately, unheard by Valerie...
This is why he has send you a severe "warning"--under the shape
of an illness. Give to your soul too, what he deserves. Do not
neglect him, in the detriment of your body/material wishes.

Perhaps you are in a state of interior "imprisonment".
Try to release yourself! Only the first step is more difficult.
I am not advising you to "cheat" your husband. It's useless to
change one man, with another. The one who has to be changed
is your soul. You have duties to fulfill; a duty towards those who
belong to your family. But you also have a duty towards yourself;
and, above all, a duty towards The One who allows you to breathe.

The disease was started by your body. This means that it can
also be stopped by your body. The spiritual healing can make
wonders.

If you prefer a more material approach (i.e., a classical medical
treatment), you should start by studying your illness. Please take
a look at the following websites. And please remember that:

a) the doctor treats, the Nature heals;
b) the modern medicine cannot give sound explanations about
what is causing a ("karmic") disease;
c) the treatment you will follow, maybe it will help you to get rid
from Os.Ar. But you will end up by changing one disease, with
another (unless, of course, you will not change Yourself).

If you love Life, if you love The Allmighty, then pray to Him to give
you the force to succeed to heal yourself.

(I apologize for the fact that I am not mastering well enough the
English language. I live in Romania, in Europe.)

P.S.: You must also change your food: for a while, try only "naturist"
recipes. And try to fast, from time to time: drink only fresh spring
water.
