Osteoarthritis. what are some natural remedy's?

Thanks.like herbs are whatever.diet. vitamins.?

Hi Kefer

Here are some solutions.

Quick Action Plan for Osteoarthritis

1. To increase joint mobility and protect joints from further damage, flaxseeds, fish oils, and Boswellia are recommended.

2.Oil massages are beneficial. Dissolve camphor and mint in vodka or unroasted sesame oil and apply externally. Lemon oil or marjoram oil (undiluted or mixed with sesame or olive oil) can also be rubbed into the affected joints.

3. A regimen of breathing patterns, flexing of the joints of the hands, feet, and elbows, and yoga positions can improve symptoms.

4.Osteoarthritis is directly related to skeletal and postural difficulties. Bodywork can alter postural difficulties. Massage and Rolfing programs are highly recommended.

5.Estimates show that 95% of osteoarthritic cases also have misaligned vertebrae. A combination of acupuncture with chiropractic is a common approach for treating osteoarthritis.

6. Eliminate dairy products, fatty meats, caffeine, soft drinks, alcohol, tobacco, and all refined sugars. Replace processed sugars with alternative natural sweeteners or naturally sweet fruits. A diet rich in an abundant selection of fresh vegetables, and a wide variety of sweet and non-sweet fruits, nuts, and whole grains is recommended.

7.Hydrogenated fats and trans-fatty acids can directly contribute to inflammation and the destruction of joint tissues. Read all food labels and do not buy or eat food that contains partially hydrogenated oils, canola oil or any artificial, chemically generated fats.

8. Whole or juiced goji and/or acai berries, and Noni juice. Pomegranate fruit extracts are especially effective in cases of osteoarthritis.

9. Read the pH section.

10. Test for food and environmental allergies and avoid all foods and substances to which you are allergic.

11. Cleansing and Detoxification including colon and bowel cleansing therapies, fasting, kidney and gallbladder flushes, physical medicine, and homeopathic remedies.

12. Microcurrent Therapy devices such as the TENS unit, may help to reduce swelling, spasms, and increase muscle flexibility.

13. For treating and preventing arthritis, supplement with vitamins A, B1, B6, C, D, E, calcium, magnesium, boron, and niacinamide (a form of vitamin B3), cetyl myristoleate, and glucosamine sulfate supplementation in conjunction with chondroitin sulfate and SAMe.

Best of health to you.

Cheers

glucosamine and chondroitin is a good attempt, good luck

Osteoarthritis requires longterm management of its symptoms. Apparently, there are various causes, originating in foods and the environment. The following herbs may help, and are best used on an ongoing basis. It should be possible to use them alongside prescribed medication, however, it is best to check with your doctor first.

Use a mixture of the following herbs and make an infusion (tea) and drink a cup 3 times a day:
Bogbean 2 parts (an alternative is Devil's Claw)
Willow Bark 1 part (an alternative is Meadowsweet or Guaiacum)
Black Cohosh 1 part
Celery Seed 1 part
Prickly Ash 1 part
Yarrow 1 part

These herbs can be used as a 'simple', i.e. as a single herb made into an infusion and drunk in larger quantities:
Meadowsweet (relieves inflammation)
Guaiacum (relieves inflammation)
Bogbean (relieves inflammation, detoxifier, should not be used if there is colitis or diarrhoea)
Wild Yam (relieves inflammation)
Angelica Root (relieves inflammation)
White Poplar (relieves pain)
Wintergreen (relieves pain)
Jamaican Dogwood (sedative, to get more sleep)
Valerian (sedative, to get more sleep)
Passion Flower (sedative, to get more sleep)

St John's Wort Oil can be used as a liniment or massaged on joints to relieve pain.

It is important to eat well to get good nutrition so as to help the body function properly and heal itself. A general vitamin-mineral supplement will benefit the health. Try to get sufficient Vit B complex and Vit C daily as our bodies do not store these vitamins.

The mineral Silica will help in strengthening the density of bones and joints, so that there is less porosity. It is also good for the skin, hair and nails. A herb rich in Silica is Horsetail, which can be taken as an infusion. It is also sold as capsules and in gel form in health food stores. A Silica-rich grain is millet, which can be mixed with other grains or foods.

Hope this helps.
