Would you like to register for organ donation? |
I recently heard in the news that a 20 year old man in my city had passed on from head injuries incurred in a motorcycle accident. In his passing, SEVEN people got a new chance at life through organ donation. i am an organ donor, i think it's a great thing to do. i don't need my body anymore once i'm dead it's a waste to bury it and let it rot while people could use it. good info. I am registered, too. But thanks for posting the link for others. I have a friend who is a mortician - and if people think that they are taking all their parts with them when they are buried....nope! Might as well donate - the stories he could tell! To be honest, I think it is a little unorthodox. Not saving lives, I would love too. But after I die, or while I am living, I want to stay perfectly intact my entire life. I would but I have cancer and Hepatitis C. It looks like I might be looking for a liver myself. I would like to thank the person who's liver I may be getting. I am an organ donor. |

Each day, about 77 people get the organ transplant that gives them a second chance, but 19 others die waiting for a donated organ (organdonor.gov). One donor can SAVE 8 lives and enhance more then... If people don't have the freedom to decide to donate their organs or not to donate them are their bodies goverment property? ...It is theoretically possible for there to be a testicle transplant, but apparently there is no ongoing program for doing so.
