Your thoughts on organ donation? |
I am planning on becoming an organ donor once I die. I think that if people are dying and in need of an organ, it should be given to them. You won't be using them if you are dead. What are your thoughts on organ donation? Organ donors are donors because they agree with you (me too!) The people who have not yet signed their donor card may be squeamish for a variety of reasons. I understand some people have religious objections. i am an organ donor as well and i feel the EXACT same as you. If i'm dead, or close to it, i'm not gonna need my organs, so why not give them to someone to save their lives? but some other people feel that is inhumane...idk, if your dead, why or how do you care? My only problem with organ donation is that sometimes there is gray area about whether you are dead or alive and I don't want the physicians pulling my plug early just so they can get an organ they need. I feel a little weird about it. I think it is fine for people to do, but I know I would have a hard time having a dead person's organs in me. -s Hell I wont be needing my organs after I die. I don't belive in the afterlife. Instead of wasting them and letting them decompose, at least they could be used to help someone else. I think I'd like to keep my organs. I know I wouldn't be using them, but I'd hate to know that as soon as I die, I'm going to get mutilated. I believe it's a good idea yet I've heard things like that if you're in critical condition, close to death, or maybe your heart gave out, then won't resussitate you because you're a donor and they want the organs. Something like that. I'm not exactly sure. Not just organs, if anyone can benefit from my remains they are quite welcome to have them. I think it's the right thing to do, honestly. 'Cause, you're not really going to be needing them once you're gone so why not give them to someone who needs them? It's definitely something I will be doing. I also am an organ donor. I happen to agree with you and the other person that said we won't be needing them when we are dead. If I can help save a life of someone else when I'm gone so be it. I totally agree. I believe that when I die, I'm going to heaven. It would be completely selfish of me to 'keep' stuff I am not using or even taking with me. If there's workable organs someone living can use, take 'em! I agree Once I'm done using them, they're free for the taking. |
