Organ donation?

I have a student at the junior high level asking me if the testicles can be donated. He's constantly asking me.

It is theoretically possible for there to be a testicle transplant, but apparently there is no ongoing program for doing so. There has been an urban myth going around that you can sell your testicles for transplant purposes. A man only needs one, after all and the myth is that you can get like $50,000 for your "spare." But it's just a myth. Selling organs is against the law, for starters and it's hard to believe there'd be that much of a demand. There is something called a testicle implant, but that involves saving tissue and freezing it before treatment for testicular cancer. There is some success with returning it post-chemotherapy and having the healthy tissue "colonize" the treated testicle. Hope that helps.

Usually when a man loses his testicles, say to cancer or an accident, they give him implants, like breast implants but thats just for self esteem issues, never heard of them donating anyone elses, probably as there arent many alive willing doners

Ask him if he needs one, If so tell him you'd be happy to donate one of yours. Otherwise tell him to go to college
