Organ donation - can O -ve organs be given to anyone?

I know a man who I work with who is on dialysis while he is waiting for a kidney transplant. With the shortage of organ donors in Australia, I was just wondering if, like O -ve blood (which can be given to anyone regardless of blood type), O
-ve organs can be given to anyone? If so, how do I go about this?

There is much more consideration that goes into organ donation than just blood type. I'm not even sure blood type is that big of a consideration when donating organs. It has to do more with genetic matching. You could ask your doctor to be sure. That's nice of you to want to help someone else like that.

organ transplant doesnt depend on blood typing,it depends on hla -human leukocyte antigen profile and matching,,its a totall different matching system ,blood type plays no role
