If you're against organ donation? |
Would you feel different if your child, parent, sibling or even your own life was in danger due to waiting for organs? I think donating an organ is one of the biggest gifts one can ever give. The chance of life. Morbid i know but my son aged 12 has told me that if he died he would want to save a persons life by donating his organs. Give an Organ....Save a life......... My only issue with this is that as a gay man I'm not allowed to give blood, so why should I give my organs if my blood's not good enough ??!! I'm not against it but I'm against the idea that everyone should be on the list and people should opt out. I think people should have the choice I feel the same way you do on this issue,I myself am an organ donor. im not against organ donation. at least u can save life.. im willilng to donate my organ if ever i will have an accident and die... but while im still alive im not donating coz i need it.. Okay, First off, I am for organ donation. Anyone can have anything of mine after i'm gone, and anything i can give and still stay healthy while i'm alive. Including blood, bone marrow and anything else they can take out of me. I would be willing to donate but my kids said they would override it I am an organ donor. I feel if I can help someone else after I'm dead, why not? I can no longer benefit from my parts, so let someone else use them if they can see better, or function better. They can take what they want, and then I want to be cremated. Just make it easier on everyone else. I cant see spending a fortune today with the price of funerals and such. Its the memories that count. I agree with AndrewH, my blood's not good enough ( I have ms) but they'd be willing to take the chance of giving somebody one of my organs and possibly ms along with it! I feel sorry for anybody waiting transplant, when the government bring this opting out system in I am opting out because I don't trust the government selling body parts to the rich to raise more revenue. If I need a transplant I won't be rich enough to buy one.Don't mind donating if there was a guarantee there was no money transactions involved. i am already a registered donor.. have been since my father passed before my senior year of highschool. My family and friends know of my choice and if something were to happen would make the decision without hesitation. Later I plan to add my name to the bone marrow registrar but currently im being treated for unexplained seizures. sudden onset my doctor tells me... i believe that if once im gone my organs can help someone else live on, then they should... i wont need them! IF during my lifetime I couldn't do anything good for the others, then at least I'd save someone when I'm dead. My husband knows that i die i would like to donate my organs and he will tell the hospital after he has assessed the situation, i do not carry a donor card and i will be opting out if it becomes assumed that everyone will donate, this is because i do not want the doctor to let me die to help someone who he feels is more important, (this does happen) they are my organs and when i have no voice my husband will donate them at the last minute. its an increadible thing you are giving life for when you have lost yours. Yes you can give money after you die but thats nothing to saving a adult more importantly a child! that is a beautiful thing if you do give organs. Just do it! |
