What are your views about organ donation? |
should people donate organs so that those who need it can get it easily Absolutely! When you dead your dead! No matter what religion, race etc, dust to dust, my friend. Leave something behind to carry on, or at least experiment on, as to save a life. So many myths, as to why people don't do this. When it's my time, I hope I make a significant contribution-LOL- that maybe the only time I do. Not to add doom and gloom to this morbid topic anyway, but if you have ever watched someone die, for the lack of an organ, you'd sign yours over. And if you ever heard a mother sob for her lifeless child, you'd be first in line. Well, yeah. Definately, what good are they to you once you're gone? At least someone can get good use out of them I tried to do that with my Dad when he passed away but there was a problem because his Stepdad had Tuberculosis and it's said to be very contagious. I was sad and the gentleman I talked to thanked me profusely but had to decline. I know I have "organ donor" on my driver's license. i am all for organ donation. its not easy for those who need it though. first you have to be in a healthy weight range, and you have to find the right blood type for you, and the person donating has to be around the same size as you are, there is so much to it then what people think... i know i'm going through it with my aunt right now. If they want to. im totally for organ donation....I myself am an organ donor. Its a good thing to do you won't need your organs when your gone but on the other hand I don't want my body to go to some college and be used as a science project, Well,,it sounded gory to me @ first but after loosing our best friend in a car wreck,,well,,now someone has his heart,,his kidneys,,his liver etc. Now those people's lives have been spared.Something good has come from such a tradgedy.Maybe one day you or I will need an organ. Of course. If you die and have a healthy organ, you aren't going to be needing it. Better that someone else lives because of your generosity. I am an organ donor. I have enjoyed living so much that I would like to share life with someone who may not have quality of life or quantity. Totally for it! The way i see it is, altho i may be gone- i am still living! If i needed an organ i would hope there would be one for me, so once i go all mine are available for others to use! Why should they not? Our organs, as one answerer said, are of no use to us after we die. The best thing we can do is give it to someone else where THEY'LL do some good, and if that person dies, he or she can give their organs, and the cycle starts over. After all, what comes around goes around- donating an organ can indirectly affect the lives of others. I see no "invasion of privacy" or "inhumanity" in such an act; we're dead; the only thing we can do is rot. I know some people are scared that they have chances of medically coming back to life but since their organs are gone they won't live. Now, the chances of that are slimmer than winning the lotto (1 in 14 million). All in all, it's a great thing for a great cause that does no harm to anyone..or to you..since you're dead. |
