What are your thoughts on organ and tissue donation?

Why are people so afraid to do it? Lives can be saved!

I think some people are just afraid of death to the point where they just really don't want to think about their body parts being taken out of them. I want to donate my organs and tissue when I'm dead...it's not like I'll be using it! lol

I'm a donor!

I think that a lot of people are afraid even though they are dead. It is very easy to become a registered donor just check with your local BMV, and believe it or not you can really save lives. I don't know why people are scared and more alarming is that some people are registered donors and their families still say no even though it was their wishes. I think that it is very sad that 18 people die each day waiting some type of transplant don't YOU.

I donated an organ to the church, but it think no more than they cost people should be able to buy their on tissues. My wife likes those tissues in the green box.

I'll tell you why I'm afraid. I have heard of a case where the person was declared dead by ambulance staff and they were rushing him to the hospital as someone was waiting for his heart. Turned out he wasn't dead and came to! I know it's probably very rare but I would rather they concentrate on me, not getting my organs to where they need to go!
