Is oral cancer curable?

a 65 yrs old mom of three children, suffering from oral cancer.but she is diabetic and has asthma . right now she is taking treatment for oral cancer, that is chemotheraphy & radiation, it is very painful.she has a swelling inside cheek at only one place.is it curable

Eighty-one percent of oral cavity and oropharyngeal cancer patients survive at least 1 year after diagnosis. For all stages combined, the 5-year relative survival rate is 59% and the 10-year survival rate is 48%. These survival rates have not changed much in the past 20 years. If the cancer is found early, before it has spread to lymph nodes, the 5-year relative survival rate is around 82%. If it has spread to lymph nodes, the relative 5-year survival rate drops to 51%.
The treatment options for people with oral and oropharyngeal cancers are surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy either alone or in combination, depending on the stage of the tumor. After the cancer is found and staged, your doctor will discuss treatment choices with you. It is important to take time and think about all of the choices. In choosing a treatment plan, factors to consider include your overall health, the type and stage of the cancer, the chances of curing the disease, and the impact of the treatment on functions like speech, chewing, and swallowing.

Nope, Your gonna Die.

It depends.. if it has not spread to other organs. Also, if the radiation adn chemo can get rid of it, it might be very well curable. You never know, some people react differently. Dont give up hope, and everything will be ok!!

hahahahha..thats messed up.
The hell is oral cancer???

no cancer is curable, she could with the radiation and chemo go into remission, but never cured. Her being diabetic isn't in her favor either I'm sorry, diabetics have a problem sometimes with healing. she will be in my prayers.

Most of the time if ANY cancer is caught early enough, then it is at least treatable.

Oral cancer kills alot of people because it remains unnoticed until the late stages.

So yes, it is possible to cure it. And no, if the lady mentioned did not get it early enough, it will kill her.

its the same as cancer anywhere else it depends how far gone it is

Yes its curable.

yes im sure ur nans cancer is curable chemotherapy is a very strong treatment

Yes, Virtually all cancer is curable.

And cancer is curable without chemo and radiation. Do some research and you will find the cure for cancer ... it's not at your doctors office.

If you have an open mind, and search and read for months and months ... then you will likely find the cure. But if you have a closed mind, you will never find the cure.

And diabetes type 2 is curable as well and asthma is curable as well ... they all have similar cures.

Good Luck on your search
