HPV and Oral Cancer? |
Recently, I read that HPV can cause oral cancer. I have had oral sex with 2 different women, one who never had vaginal sex before, and the other one had vaginal sex with only one guy. I know that I am a hypochondria, but would it be a small risk for me to have gotten HPV, and for it then to cause oral cancer? Are there any HPV test for men? There is no clinical test for HPV in men. Sorry. if you don't have outward symptoms (warts, cancers), then you will probably never truly know. You could have gotten HPV of the mouth, better known as RRP, recurrent respiratory papillomatosis. If either of the woman have HPV, then yes there is a one in a billionth chance of you getting RRP. Like I said there is a very small chance. This disease is very rare. There is a one a trillionth chance of you developing cancer from it. I would be willing to bet that you won't get cancer caused by RRP. I had genital warts and I have received oral sex. I have yet to get any phone calls saying that I gave someone RRP. The first line of defense against oral cancer is your dentist. |
