Oral cancer ?

I have had a sore throat off and on for a few weeks. Yesterday I had a thing like a wart in the back of my mouth, this morning it was all black and a big piece of it came off I have an appointment tomorrow with the doc but has anyone else had this. My hubby freaked and thought of oral cancer as I have a hard time with speech but I also have ms and that causes speech problems as well.

yes it could be oral cancer but for you i hope not i just lost my husband feb.11th 2008 to oral cancer go to the dr and dont panic till your sure then think things over if it is cancer

I don't know. I'm just writing to say I know it's really hard to wait any time at all when you're afraid about something. Oral cancer is rare in non-smokers, and I doubt that as a person with ms you're a smoker. Try not to borrow trouble, as my grandmother said. God bless.

I dont think its cancer, that doesnt form ot of no where in the space of a week. if you had the lump in yoru mouth and never noticed it then maybe but i dont think its changes from day to day. it could just be an infection,

I would just get it checked out. Its just one of those things that can be something major or nothing at all. Better be safe than sorry. As for do I think it could be cancer? Yes, it could be. Good Luck!
