Dentists specialized in oral cancer? |
im a 2nd year student , studying dentistry . is there anybody whos specialized in oral pathology here ?...i need to get a sense of what this specialty involves.....im more interested in dealing with pathogens...and diagnosis rather than working with drills ...what does an oral pathologist do ?... well im only second year..im not much aware of the clinical parts... If you don't know the answer to this question maybe you should re-think your career. Oral cancer is handled by oncologists---not dentists. If you have something going on in your mouth that a dentist suspects is cancerous, they would send you to an oncologist for testing and treatment. Maybe you should specialize in labs and research fields? |
