Can dental abscess lead to throat/oral cancer?

if a dental abscess is left untreated for more than 6 months or so...does it lead to a possible thorat cancer...

No.There is no such theory in medical science which says that untreated infections lead to cancer. There could however be other complications, say pain, fever etc.

There really isn't any correlation between infections and cancer. Though, if one lets a dental infection go untreated, it could lead to more severe infections, such as Meningitis, due to the teeth's close proximity to the brain stem and spinal cord area.

Heart disease and blood poisoning are what you should fear most.

no but it could lead to death if the infection spreads to other parts of the body. Start taking Keflex or Penicillin and see your denist immediately.

no
